Is my lighter filled upon delivery?

The lighter is refillable with lighter fuel but is empty on delivery.

Does my lighter need any maintenance?

Aside from the occasional refill, you also will need to trim the wick about once or twice a year. After 2-3 times trimming, the wick will need replacement.

How do I replace the wick of my lighter?

  1. Open your lighter by removing the inside from the metal case. Using two fingers pull the inside upwards, while holding the case with your other hand
  2. Now remove the screw on the bottom of the lighter. The flint will come out as well. Carefully remove the spring, the screw and the flint from the lighter and keep them safe aside. Remove the cushion from the lighter, the cotton on the inside now becomes visible. Remove that cotton as well. Only the fuse now remains in your lighter.
  3. Remove the old wick by pulling it upwards from the lighter
  4. Take the new wick and guide it through the hole, the easiest way is to put it through at the top and pull it down from the inside
  5. Pull until the wick is flush with the edge of the lighter
  6. Put the cotton back into the lighter, make sure that the wick is in between as much cotton as possible
  7. Place the flint back in position, put the cushion on top of the cotton, put the spring back and tighten the screw

How do I refill my lighter?

  1. remove the lighter from the metal case
  2. Push the cushion aside by pulling it upwards
  3. Impregnate the cotton with a good amount of fuel (until the fuel reaches the top)
  4. Close your lighter and make sure no fuel is left on the case or your hands
  5. Ignite the lighter until a flame comes out
