Make your own merch with these vintage bootleg clothes

Slapping your favourite photos on a basic shirt or hoodie? Sure. But giving yourself, your partner or your doggo their own merch? Now that's a vibe. Create a personalised T-shirt or hoodie with that one legendary photo of your dog, a cute shot of you and your partner, or an iconic selfie that just hits differently. That's how you make a bootleg clothing with a personal twist and the bold look of real vintage.
Tip: surprise your dad with a shirt featuring his favourite four-legged friend, make a funny one for your bestie, or simply design one for yourself. Because let's be honest — your main character energy deserves its own merch.

FAQ of Bootleg T-Shirt & Hoodie

What is a bootleg tee?

A bootleg tee is originally a t-shirt that mimics the style of vintage band or tour merch from the 90s, with bold prints and a raw, nostalgic feel. At smartphoto, we flip the concept: you create your own 'bootleg' version with your own photos as the star of the show. The result has that same eye-catching vintage look — only the story behind the design is entirely yours.

How many photos can I use?

For the ultimate vintage vibe, you can upload up to 5 photos in a single collage. Mix your favourite moments for a unique drop.

Which photos work best?

Anything goes! The raw, funny photos from your camera roll are exactly what give that authentic streetwear look. Just make sure they're sharp enough to print.

How does the T-shirt fit?

It's a premium heavyweight shirt (100% cotton) with a comfortable fit that won't lose its shape in the wash. Perfect for that main character energy.

How do I keep my merch looking great?

Wash inside out at 40°C
Do not tumble dry and do not iron directly on the print
This keeps your design looking fresh for years

What if my photo won't upload?

Check that your file is smaller than 20 MB. Anything larger isn't needed for a top-quality result.
